It’s fair to say the The Aussie BBQ New York show went well above our expectations. From the very beginning as the sun shone on the island of Manhattan and Grand Atlantic hit the stage to the very end when Sampology blew everyone away with his DJ Shadow meets Girl Talk DJ/AV audio visual mashups it was a great day.
The only shit part of the day was that we had a lap top stolen which sucks balls and as you can imagined pissed me and the team right off.
There was a bunch of us that travelled from Toronto to NYC for the show. Hungry Kids Of Hungary on just made it after blowing out a tire of their Van only to find out that there wasn’t a spare. But they made it and nailed a great gig. Blue King Brown also made the long haul through the night to make the show and stayed until the very end helping us try to locate the lap top.
All in all though it was bloody great and thanks to Skipper and Mel who are about to pop out their first baby for all your amazing help and to The Bowery crew for being great blokes running on no sleep.
